Holidays to Benidorm are not usually low key and the annual Benidorm Fiesta held each November is no exception. This 6 day long party is not for the faint hearted, the locals and visitors all join in the fun and festivities.
One of the highlights of the fiesta is an extravagant parade, which features carriages adorned with multitudes of flowers and characters wearing lavish costumes that make its way through the streets of Benidorm. There are also street parties, live music, sporting events and organised concerts held during the course of the celebrations many of which take place in the old town; the party culminates in an amazing firework display on the last night of the fiesta.
A notable date on the Costa Blanca’s calender the spectacular celebration honours the Patron Saints of Benidorm; La Virgen del Sufrage and Jaime Apostol. This year the party will start on the 11th November until Wednesday the 16th November 2011 Although not technically part of the fiesta the fun continues on the Thursday the 17th November when traditionally British visitors have a fancy dress party!
All age groups enjoy the fun at fiesta time however the Benidorm Fiesta
tends to attract more mature funseekers, singles and groups, if you are interested in joining the party at fiesta time this year our advice is to book early, we can tailor-make your holiday with one of the major tour operators, or by booking a low cost airline and hotel or if you prefer to arrange your own flights we can simply arrange a hotel or apartment.
