If you like beaches, you’ll love holidays to Fuerteventura! The island is surrounded by the best beaches in the Canary Islands. British holiday-makers have been visiting the resorts of Corralejo and Caleta de fuste (Costa Caleta) for many years and have been the dominant nationality visiting these resorts. Although quite busy resorts by Fuerteventura standards, (nothing like Playa de las Americas in Tenerife, or even Puerto del Carmen in neighbouring Lanzarote), they have provided year round holidays to beach loving couples and families for many a long year, leaving the south of the island and the Jandia resorts of Morro Jable and Costa Calma to our German European cousins.
Whether its due to the fact that we are becoming more European, or that we quite like the quality hotels and standards that the German tourists demand and expect, or that we just like to try something different, there is a momentum building and British visitor numbers are increasing to places like Costa Calma.
So with many shops, bars and even some road signs in German, it may be a while before we take over the place. In the meantime, why not consider Costa Calma for your next holiday and you can enjoy beautiful Germany in the sunshine!
